I am an improving player and want to upgrade from my current beginners set. I narrowed to down to these two iron sets.

wilson ci7 for sure. they make way better clubs than adams

PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING, PLEASE HELP ME!
Hi,
I decided to buy a TaylorMade R7 iron set, but I don’t know if I should go for the stiff graphite or the steel version.
I did try out graphite and steel shafts (not taylormade though) but I still can’t decide and I do NOT have a chance to try out the R7s.

I’m an 18-year old high-handicapper but long hitter… because I can really hit those balls far (on average 165 yards - 7 iron) but my handicap is high because I don’t play much on golf courses (98% driving range) and I’m not the most accurate player ever, but my accuracy isn’t that bad either. I just sometimes slice or hook, not that often though.
I’ve never had the chance to measure my swing speed/tempo, but I’d say it’s between normal and fast.
I don’t have any problems with the trajectory.

On the one hand, I really like the heavy and solid feel of steel shafts (I’m pretty strong, I don’t like those lightweight clubs) and I’d definitely prefer to have more accuracy than distance.

On the other hand, the guy on the driving range (he used to be a pro) told me to swich to graphite (I’ve been using really cheap steel irons for 5 years), but I don’t think it’s like he was watching my swing etc. I think it was more of a general opinion.
(But I’ve also read that low handicappers should use steel shafts).
I like the smaller amount of vibrations when hitting from grass (+divots), but I never have problems with my elbows using steel shafts.

What do you think I should choose?

Here is the short version.
If you are going to spend big bucks for clubs you can certainly buy them from someone who knows club fitting.
My simple answer would be steel irons,steel hybrids or fairway woods and a graphite driver.
Because you are young and long you probably would benefit from stiff shafts.

I have been golfing for 3 years but I had a very crappy junior set with only like 7 clubs, I took a break for 2 years and now I want to start again but I have no clue what to buy? I’m turning 16 in little less than a month and I’m pretty short for my age.
Any ideas on what to buy I need everything: Driver, Irons and putter.

i just started golfing again for the first time in about a year. im 14 and was also using a very crappy set… im taking golf a lot more seriously this year, so i bought nike slingshot OSS irons, Nike Sumo 5900, i also started using high quality balls… but cobra and taylormade also makes very good clubs… but ive added about 50 yards with my driver, and a lot more control with my irons.

my daughter wants to attempt golf. not sure if she will like it so don’t want to spend alot of money on golf clubs.

As odd as this may sound, try looking at your local department store (ie Walmart, Shopko, or even Fleet Farm or Farm and Fleet). The prices are low, so if she doesn’t like the game after trying it, you aren’t out a ton of money.
You can also purchase bags, balls, and even shoes at these places to more fully equip her, if you wish.

I’m sick of looking on ebay and waiting for an auction to end. i want to ask professional questions with pro answers.

well i think that is stupid.
coming from a catholic back ground i believe that when married a husband and wife become one. there cannot be more than two people. i cant believe any religion can agree to this.

it is also against the women rights

recently there was an article about some stupid, unauthorized protestant group called the church of the latter saints
which actually practiced it

a sample of 100 wood and 100 graphite shaft golf clubs are taken from the warehouse. if 10 wood and 25 graphite clubs are defective and one club is randomly selected from the sample, what is the probability that the club is graphite or defective?

100/200 + 35/200 - 25/200 = 110/200 = 11/20

Driver- for teeing off, hopefully getting the ball in the fairway. Rarely used anywhere else (though it is possible to hit it off the ground and chip with it). It has the lowest loft (from 7 to 16 degrees), is the longest club (43-46 inches). There is usually only one in everyone’s bag, though Phil Mickelson used a two-driver strategy at the Masters (one 45" and fade biased, the other 46" and draw biased).

Fairway wood- nowadays, there are 3 (13-15 degrees), 4 (16-18*), 5 (19-20*) and 7 (21-23*) woods; some manufacturers make 9 and 11 woods, but they are rare. They have smaller heads than drivers, and are for long shots from the fairway/rough. They can also be used on the tee box, and for chipping (this is a reoccurring theme, as any club can be used as a chipping club, depending on the situation).

Hybrids- Generally, these are replacement clubs for the 3 (19-20*), 4 (23-24*), 5 (26-28*) and 6 (28-31*) irons. They also have replacements for the 1 and 2 irons, but they aren’t as common. Some hybrids have a head big enough to act as a fairway wood. They are versatile clubs- off the tee, chipping around the green, in the very thick rough, or out of fairway bunkers.

Long irons- 3,4 and 5 irons. The hardest clubs to hit… that’s why so many switch to hybrids.

Middle irons- 6, 7 (32-34*) and 8 (36-38*). For approach shots to the green from 150 yards and in. These can also be used to tee off on short par 3s, or used as chipping clubs around the green.

Short irons- 9 (40-42*) and Pitching Wedge (PW- 44-48*). For shots around 100-130 yards and in. Also used for chipping and pitching onto the green.

Wedges- Gap ( GW, also called "attack" or "utility" wedge- 50-53*), Sand ( SW, 54-56*), Lob ( LW, 58-61*) or "X" (XW, anything over 61*). Most can be used anywhere on the course. Even though the SW was originally designed for use in sand bunkers, it is possible to use any type of wedge, depending on the situation. These can be used to chip and pitch, or lob a high, arcing shot that stops quickly on the green.

Loft determines how far each travels, with the lowest loft being the farthest, and the highest loft being the shortest-flying. If there are two clubs with the same loft (say, a hybrid 3 and a 3 iron), the club with the longer shaft will fly the farthest (in this case, the hybrid- all hybrids have a longer shaft than their replacement), since the longer, lighter shaft will produce more clubhead speed. there isn’t a significant difference, that’s why it is preferred to take the long iron out if you’re carrying a 3 hybrid- it’s longer, and has more uses than the iron.

There can be 14 clubs, no matter the combination. It can be 1 driver, 2 fairway woods, 1 hybrid, 4-PW, GW and SW, putter. It can be 14 drivers, or 1 driver and 13 putters. It’s all up to the person, what his/her yardages are, what kind of course they’re playing, etc.

Im 14 and im about to be playing for my school I have been playing a while but all I have is my old dunlop junior set what should I get. I love callaway and ping but they are so expencive and I really dont have the money
i need complete set drivers woods irons and a putter all of my stuff is wayyy to short
