I am 5′2" and am a beginner at golf. I was wondering if anyone had any sets for a beginner.?
I know that the average women’s’ clubs don’t feel right they seem to big. So I do need a set of petite clubs and would prefer women’s to juniors as the juniors I have looked at tend to be to short or they look like they are made for children. Having them fitted is not an option as I live in a small town and am not willing to spend more than $300 since I am only a beginner. I have thought about a set by Golf Girl but am not sure on them anyone have any other brands they have used or has anyone tried Golf Girl clubs?
Congrats on starting the game of golf!
i am also a petite golfer at 5′2" i am 16 and play for my high school varsity golf team, i am also county champ, and i work at my local golf course. Your best bet for clubs is to get professionally fitted at a sport or golf shop. buying clubs online or generic brands is not a good idea because everyone is different in length, flexibility, strength, ect. so go to a golf shop also talk to a golf course pro and if you are in high school, the high school team. Keep it Up!

When i was a beginner I too bought a "boxed set" with everything I need as a beginner bag & putter included…. I think I purchased it at Target or Wal-Mart and they were great for years until i got much better and bought another more professional set…. Since these boxed/beginner sets are no more that $150 use the extra $$$$ and get the women’s set further cut down to your size… You can also ship them to a golf shop of your choosing giving your height and they will cut them all down to fit your frame…

visit any local golf chain store such as roger dunn or nevada bob’s or golfsmith. or check out most decent online golf stores. a walk in store might be better than online because they might be able to fit you
a typical beginner set might consist of a 3 and 5 wood; 5, 7, and 9 irons, a wedge, and a putter. as you get better you can fill in the missing clubs until you are ready to buy a full set. i don’t recommend a driver or the longer irons for beginners as they are harder to hit
you should be able to get a good starter set for $300
don’t know anything about golf girl but for a starter set they might be just fine
