My wife and I want to take up golf. She is 4′ 10". Should I buy her a junior or woman’s set of clubs?

Being a first time golfer, I wanted something that was inexpensive till I learned the game and was sure that I want to keep on golfing.
But when I received this set I was very happy to see that it not only looked good but also felt sturdy and not cheap in my hands.
Trying it out on the golf course, I was reassured what a wonderful value I have in my hands. Seeing this, my two other friends have also ordered the same sets themselves.
I would recommend this to any first time buyer till you get the feel of the game and then later move on to more expensive models.

Before you buy a set of clubs for her, there are a few questions that should be asked first:
Strength and athleticism?
Hand Size?
Arm Length?
How much will ya’ll be playing?
Do you plan to remain married?….to one another?
If your wife is athletic, and therefore strong, she probably will not need a junior set of clubs and may in fact need a standard ladies’ set of clubs. If your wife has large hands as some cultures do, she may need oversized grips which can cause counter-balancing of clubs.
I would personally take her to a Female Golf Professional, either PGA or LPGA member, and seek their advice. I am a former Golf Professional and I always had a female professional on staff because women speak "female" and most guys do not…if you know what I mean.
As far as the Marriage thing…DO NOT TRY TO TEACH HER YOURSELF!!!! Watch videos to learn terminologies and the basics of how the swing works. Hit golf balls and play late in the day when courses are not crowded. Walk if you can to enjoy your time in the great outdoors and learn to appreciate and respect the meticulous care taken to establish the turfgrass upon which you are playing.
Take care of the course and try to leave it as beautiful as you found it.
