….I'd like my wife to join me, she's not overly keen, most especially cos she is left handed, and we are struggling to hire/buy left handed golf clubs! Can anyone help?
You can buy left hand clubs from The Golf Warehouse online. They have sets that start at $229 up to about $800. The question could be can she hit one set better than others.

you could
ask people you know who play golf, they might have some or know someone who has some
check on ebay
put a wanted ad on gumtree
check freecycle and local newspaper classified ads
go to your local golf discount store and ask their advice
ask at your local golf courses and driving ranges

I realize that this is not a direct answer to your question, but if your wife is new to the game, why not teach her to play right handed? It really doesn't matter what side you play from, and a lot of natural lefties play right handed on tour because they couldn't get left handed clubs as a kid- plus, Phil Mick is a natural rightie, and only plays golf left handed.
If it is all new to her anyway, just have her learn to play with what is available.
Good luck and have fun.

I'm LH…and I know the struggle of finding good clubs. Below is a website ONLY for Left Handed golfers, both for men and women.
I've shopped there a number of times, and they are great to work with:

You can also shop eBay…I've done that many times as well.
No, I don't have any affiliation with them.
BUT here is where most people are wrong…It's actually a good thing that your wife is LH…..if your RH….have her stand in front of you at the driving range…and if your swing is correct, she should be able to copy the "mirror image" of your swing.
It also never hurts to get some lessons from a pro either….just to make sure both you and your wife learn the correct fundamentals.
Good luck with your Game!!

There should be no reason for you to have difficulty finding left handed golf clubs. Are you sure that's her reason? Maybe she just isn't interested and instead of telling you she's looking for an excuse.
I've been trying to get my wife to take up golf for years. Simple fact is that she just is not interested in the sport.

I had the same problem, my solution was to join a friendly local club and get to know people there. Then I started taking my wife to the club for meals and a drink. She got to know other ladies, they invited her for a game and all was solved.
