Contestants will
compete in speech, talent, impromptu questions and sponsor introductions with the
crowning of three new Ambassadors (Queen and two Princesses) at the end of the evening.

The Nanaimo Ambassador Program is a not-for-profit organization whose mandate is to hold an annual program of self-development for young women between the ages of 16 and 19. The cornerstones of the program are education, community involvement and personal growth. Contestants participate in etiquette training, speech training with Toastmaster, self-defense, car maintenance, community volunteering, the program culminates in a competition for the selection of three Ambassadors to represent the City of Nanaimo for a one year.

The Ambassador Team travels to various communities throughout British Columbia representing Nanaimo’s Youth and supports our community by volunteering and attending various events throughout the year such as the Run for the Cure, Rely for Life, Dragonboat Races, Silly Boat Races, Christmas Parade, Empire Day Society Parade, Bathtub Parade, Vancouver Island Exhibition. Scholarships are awarded to the Ambassador winners and bursaries are awarded to the winner(s) of the competitions for speech, talent, personal growth and community involvement; to be used towards their post-secondary education.
