Which golf clubs are better for a mid handicapper - Ci6 or Di7 - (Wilson)?
None of the stores near me have either of these clubs because they are sold out so I can't try them but I did try the Di9 irons and they are very easy to hit. I can get a good deal on both clubs but the Di7 would cost more. I am just looking for a little more control and feel in my irons and I like the look of the Ci6`s better than the Di7`s. I am pretty sure that the Di7 would be easier to hit and this is good for me but the Ci6s have the look that I want and a cheaper price. I am not sure how a super game improvement club would benefit me but it must be easier to hit than the Ci6s. I need a little convincing which would be better for me as a good ball striker but not incredible (i have good distance and alright control). State which one is better and why. CONVINCE ME that one is better than the other and which one is better. I am an 11 handicap (mid–low 80s). Thank you.
P.S. please dont say that it is my decision and that I should make the right choice because I have looked up each club and am not sure which one will better benefit me.
Lacking the ability to hit them….you have to then go by the ones that are most pleasing to the eye……..That will lead to a lot more confidence in your game. as you have said the Ci6's have the look that you are wanting….go with them

If you're a decent ball striker with distance control then I'd steer away from the Di7's and go with the Ci6's. Game improvement clubs hit the ball very high, and I don't think any good iron player wants to hit the ball that high if they can avoid it. If you're good enough to play off 11 and are a decent ball striker than you'll want the control of the Ci6's.

Di7 i don't buy what i can't try.

the Ci6 (and Ci7) are more of a mid-handicapper's club. They have a more narrow sole and topline, which promotes more workability. Of note, the Ci7 also had the most MOI (forgiveness) of any driver tested in last year's Golf Magazine Club Test (the Di7/Di9 weren't tested).
The Di7 is more of a mid-to-high handicapper's club. It has the thickest sole and topline of the Wilson line (Pi, Ci and Di series) and the most offset. It is made to be a straight-shooter, almost like the SuMo irons from Nike.
If you're an 11 with "alright" control, you should be safe with the Ci6. They are in the middle of the "player's (Pi) and distance (Di) series, meaning you'll have the best of both worlds. If you're interested in being a shotmaker, these clubs will help you more than the Di7's will.

Wilson= good brand. i appreciate your thinking "outside the box" LOL
I have the same question between the ci6 or di7. I have only recently started playing and am regularly about 90. It may be early but I am wanting to shed the Kmart clubs for something more. Any guidance would be appreciated.
